Swatches and first impressions of my first Zuii Organic products…
First off, the lighting at my place is terrible and it was raining so there was little to no natural light (Grumpy Cat face)…
I was generously given a $30AUD store credit by Zuii Organic via an Instagram competition so I was super excited to finally try some of their products!
I’m in the market for a new foundation but I always feel like I need to try them first as my skin always seems to be a completely different colour than in looks. Whenever I’ve tried to have my foundation matched, the women helping me are always confused with how different it looks when they try and put product on it! Anyway, so I instead decided to go for some lip products, as I’m usually pretty safe with buying those sight unseen… Well most of the time…
Straight in and this is the Zuii Organic Certified Organic Flora Lipstick in the shade Primrose. Contains some lovely, nourishing ingredients like Jojoba, Castor, and Sunflower Oil. Love the packaging, nice and clean with a simple colour pallette, states all the ingredients as well as the certifications (BDIH, NASAA Certified Organic, Cruelty Free).
Now this is not a vegan lipstick as it contains Beeswax, but I don’t believe that it contains Carmine, so win on that one.
Ingredients: helianthus annuus (sunflower) oil*, ricinus communis (castor) oil*, simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil*, copernica cerifera (carnauba) wax*, cera alba (natural beeswax)*, pelargonium graveolens (geranium) flower oil*, cymbopogon martini (palmarosa) oil*, citrus aurantium dulcis (orange) peel oil*, rosa damascena (rose) flower oil*, aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) powder*, euphorbia cerifera (candelillla) wax, caprylic/capric triglycerides, sorbitan olivate, d alpha tocopherol, ascorbyl palmitate. MAY CONTAIN (+/-) CI 77019 MICA CI 77891 (titanium dioxide) CI 75470 (carmine) CI 77742 (manganese violet) CI 77491 CI 77492 CI 77499 (iron oxides)

Primrose is quite a bright (well for me) pink, I tried to show a bit of the shine in the right hand photo. Its not shimmery or metallic, I guess just has that slight reflection of light from the oils contained I suppose.
Below is top left: bare lips, bottom left: light swipe of lipstick, top right: normal application, bottom right: brubbed my lips together a bit more and then layered the Rose Lip Tint over the bottom lip only. (PS. my lips aren’t in the greatest condition, sorry, winter is coming and they’re clearly not ready yet).
The colour by itself is a bit bright for me but I’m getting use to it. I like it a lot more with the Rose Lip Tint layered over the top, kind of darkens the colour/tones it down a bit. Its definitely not the colour I expected/tried to order at all. Well to me I don’t think so anyway.. What do you think? I have added a screenshot from the Zuii Organic website below showing the Primrose colourway.
Now onto the Zuii Organic Certified Organic Flora Lip Tint… Again, same beautifully clean and simple, yet catchy packaging stating ingredients and certifications (BDIH, NASAA Certified Organic, Cruelty Free).
Ingredients: rosa moschata (musk rose) seed oil*, ricinus communis (castor) seed oil*, copernicia cerifera (carnauba) wax*, cera alba (natural beeswax), aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) leaf juice*, equisetum arvense (horsetail) extract*, citrus aurantium dulcis (orange) peel oil*, ascorbyl palmitate, caprylic/capric triglycerides, tocopherol

The product tube itself is quite a lot smaller than I imagined it would be. I was thinking the standard every day lip glass size (sorry I don’t have one to compare with) but this was surprisingly smaller when I saw it in my parcel. I still absolutely love it though.
The wand is an interesting two-sided sponge applicator, instead of the standard tubular/round sponge applicator which I really quite like. And the colour is this beautiful slightly nude my-lips-but-better colour. It glossy, but not shimmery, exactly what I was hoping it would be, so I’m over the moon with this little product right here.
Picture below shows top: bare lips, bottom: with Rose Lip Tint.
And now here’s a little side by side action for you.
I find both of these to be quite nourishing but can’t say too much to the longevity of them just yet. I think the lipstick is going to transfer quite a lot though…
You made it! Here ends my first impressions/quick review of these two Zuii Organic lip products. Sorry for the seemingly endless photos… Hope they’re helpful to some though! And again, apologies for the awful lighting. My skin tone looks different in various photos unfortunately but I tried to represent the colour of the product as accurately as possible, not my freckles haha!
See something you like? Have any other Zuii products to recommend? Leave me a comment!

Primrose looks gorgeous on you (: ! I can totally understand you because of the brightness (I like more neutral tones too) but you should give it a go. Now I want to try Primrose too but I don’t like the rosy smell of the lip products…Unfortunately I tend to get headaches because of that. But I love the color range of Zuiis lip products. <3
Bummer about the headaches! I quite like the smell of the lipstick, but you’re right, it’s quite strong!. I think I prefer it over the smell/taste of the lip tont/gloss though; its a bit of an odd scent to me and it kind of lingers for a while. I seem to be fairly headache free so far, so hopefully it stays that way :/ Think I will definitively try at least another of their lipsticks, thanks for the tip on Instagram! <3
Ps I try and comment on your blog posts all the time but keep getting caught up in the “recapta” security thing when I try and submit a post 🙁 I may need to try a different browser or something. But just wanted to say that the Zuii Emerald mascara looks amazing on you! It totally enhances the beautiful colour of your eyes!!!
You’re so sweet <3 ! But argh, that's annoying! I have a similar problem when commenting on some other blogs and I hate it -.- …didn't even know you have to do the recapta thing.
Its strange… I pick all the photos and then it says I have to copy and paste some link into a box that seems to be non-existent… So bizarre… Maybe there’s another way around it….
Primrose looks pretty! Like a pinky-red shade.
Glad you like it! I’m learning to love it myself, I’ve never been one for a bold lip colour but I’m hoping I can rock this one ??
